Fat and Calorie Calculator from Food Network
Ever wondered how much fat or calories are in your favorite snack food? With this nifty calculator courtesy of The Food Network, you can find out! The calculator is simple; simply plug in the name of whatever you’re curious about, and you’ll be presented with a list of choices based on your search terms. This calculator works best if you use specific terms; for example, don’t type in a generic term like “apple.” You’ll be presented with TONS of choices to go through! Instead, narrow down the search results by searching for a specific item. If you do it that way, the calculator is more likely to work the way you want it to. I played with it for a few minutes and came up with some interesting information on a variety of foods I like to eat daily. For example, I found out that a cup of grapes (one serving size) has 61 calories, 16 grams of carbohydrates and 1 mg of sodium. I never would have known! If you’re dieing to know what your favorite foods are going to cost you in terms of fat and calories, this calculator can possibly help you make smarter eating choices - AND realize what a realistic serving size of a given food is!
